Group Lesson FAQ
How many people can join a group lesson?
Group lessons work best with 2-4 players. With 2 players, the lesson has a strong doubles focus with plenty of court time each. With 3-4 players, we run structured rotations so everyone gets quality coaching time. We do not exceed 4 players per session.
Does everyone need to be the same level?
Not at all. We regularly run mixed-ability group lessons. The coach adapts positioning and drill difficulty for each player while keeping the session fun and competitive for everyone. The energy of playing with friends who are at slightly different levels is actually great for development.
What do we do in a group lesson?
The 1.5-hour session typically covers: warm-up groundstrokes, a specific skill focus (e.g., approach shots, doubles positioning), competitive drills where players earn points, and doubles match play with coaching commentary. It's social, energetic, and genuinely fun.
Is this suitable for complete beginners?
If your whole group is at beginner level, a group lesson is perfect - you will all learn together and the atmosphere is supportive. If mixed beginner and experienced, we can still run a session but a private lesson for the beginner first may be more effective.
Can we play doubles in the group lesson?
Yes! Doubles is a big part of the group lesson. We cover poaching at the net, the I-formation, serving and volleying, and doubles communication strategies - all things that make the game much more fun to play together.
